I remember using this picture as last years Enrolment invitation card and bulletin. All the while I knew I'm not creative in arts. They ask me to do designing and I was like What??? But since they all said it is the easiest things to do, no need hard work and I took up the responsibilities.
I struggle for about a week for getting the design out and be printed to use to start inviting the parents, ex-brigaders, etc. I totally had no idea of the theme - Be Counted. I know it is not used in 1, 2, 3 those counting, but to be something very significant that people can count you in and recognises you and count on you. It is a very strong word that I will ever use it in my life.
I had to pray... really knelled down on my knees to ask the Lord for help. No need bombarded words, but just asking the Lord to help me to let him be Counted by all people, which have to be summarised in a design. The Lord never spoke to me as usual, never heard from God in my life. But I have a strong sense out of a sudden a picture of a cross on a hill. YES! Just a cross on a hill and it is simple yet significant and no need much words to express!
After choosing fonts and I typed in those details and forward the design to other officers to give comments. Only receive comment from them was they had agreed from last time, they won't be showing the cross because most parents and are non-Christians. They might be rejecting it. Oops! No one told me that before, but eventually I explained and continued on with just some minor changes.
The whole story had nothing to do with Easter. But this picture did reminded me of Him who died on the cross more than 2000 years ago for my sins. I think it's time turn back my own ways back to Him. As He stood the alone watching us and care for us, I think we should do the same too! ;)
